Pledge your support When I started building cybersecurity products, I noticed that many product leaders in the industry have great domain knowledge but lack experience when it comes to product management practices such as customer discovery, product-market fit expansion, and category creation. Domain expertise is so important that it’s not uncommon to see a security practitioner with deep industry knowledge become a senior product leader without any prior product experience. It’s much more common to see cybersecurity product leaders attend conferences and training for security practitioners compared to product management conferences like Mind the Product, or leading product training such as Reforge. All this makes intuitive sense as cybersecurity
