For long skills, try and use progressive disclosure as much as possible- divide it into many files and split them out.

The new rules of context engineering for Claude 5 generation models | Claude by Anthropicwhen we read transcripts of our own internal usage of Claude Code, we see several conflicting messages in a single request like “leave documentation as appropriate,” or “DO NOT add comments” as our system prompt, skills, and user requests clash with each other.

Joe's Joe: Joe Coulombe - Los Angeles TimesAt Trader Joe’s the] tenure is typically 35 years. I call them the roach motels
Joe's Joe: Joe Coulombe - Los Angeles TimesI reframed this: Trader Joe’s is for overeducated and underpaid people, for all the classical musicians, museum curators, journalists -- that’s why we’ve always had good press, frankly!
Joe's Joe: Joe Coulombe - Los Angeles TimesScientific American had a story that of all people qualified to go to college, 60% were going. I felt this newly educated -- not smarter but better-educated -- class of people would want something different, and that was the genesis of Trader Joe’s.
Joe's Joe: Joe Coulombe - Los Angeles TimesWhen a technology become mythic, it is always dangerous because it is then accepted as it is, and is therefore not easily susceptible to modification or control.
Neil Postman: Five Things We Need to Know About Technological ChangeCars, planes, TV, movies, newspapers--they have achieved mythic status because they are perceived as gifts of nature, not as artifacts produced in a specific political and historical context.
Neil Postman: Five Things We Need to Know About Technological Change“All societies admit the power of music or sound. Attempts to control what is heard in the community are universal,” Ms. Oliveros wrote in a preface to the meditations. “Sonic Meditations are an attempt to return the control of sound to the individual alone, and within groups especially for humanitarian purposes; specifically healing.”
Pauline Oliveros, Composer Who Championed ‘Deep Listening,’ Dies at 84 - The New York TimesI just want Zohran’s nonbinary praetorians to march across the country and put all these guys in cuffs.

Child’s Play, by Sam KrissYour words have to have wings.
Child’s Play, by Sam KrissHe’d generated a brutally simplified miniature of the entire VC economy. People were giving him stuff for no reason except that Altman had already done it, and they didn’t want to be left out of the trend.
Child’s Play, by Sam KrissGabriel Petersson, a researcher at OpenAI, posted on X: “people are too scared to post, nobody wants to pay the donald boat tax.”
Child’s Play, by Sam KrissAs far as I could tell, being a highly agentic individual had less to do with actually doing things and more to do with constantly chasing attention online.
Child’s Play, by Sam KrissHis best-case scenario for AI is essentially the antithesis of Roy’s: superintelligence that will actively refuse to give us everything we want, for the sake of preserving our humanity.
Child’s Play, by Sam KrissMany of these people are smart enough that they could answer their own questions, but they want someone else to do it, because then they don’t have to have this terrifying encounter with their own humanity.
Child’s Play, by Sam KrissThey just need the easy part that lizards can do. Surely somebody can figure out how to do this lizard thing and then everything else will fall very quickly.”
Child’s Play, by Sam KrissAccording to Alexander, the problem is the transition from AI assistants—language models that respond to human-generated prompts—to AI agents, which can operate independently. In his scenario, this is what finally pushes the technology down the path toward either utopia or human extinction, but in the real world, getting the machines to act by themselves is proving surprisingly difficult.
Child’s Play, by Sam Kriss(Rationalists, like termites, live in eusocial mounds.)
Child’s Play, by Sam KrissAfter you die, the priests preparing your body for burial usually find that your brain has almost entirely rotted away, except for the parts associated with reflexive action. The first time you dangle the earring near your ear, it whispers: “Better for you if you take me off.”
Child’s Play, by Sam KrissHere was someone who reacted very violently to anyone who tried to tell him what to do. At the same time, his grand contribution to the world was a piece of software that told people what to do.

Child’s Play, by Sam KrissOnce, San Francisco drew in runaway children, artists, and freaks; today it’s an enormous magnet for highly agentic young men.
Child’s Play, by Sam KrissThe company is loathed seemingly out of proportion to what its product actually is, which is a janky, glitching interface for ChatGPT and other AI models.
Child’s Play, by Sam KrissFor several years, ChatGPT users have generated an archive of human candor that has no precedent, in part because people believed they were talking to something that had no ulterior agenda
Opinion | I Left My Job at OpenAI. Putting Ads on ChatGPT Was the Last Straw. - The New York TimesBut we still have time to work them out to avoid the two outcomes I fear most: a technology that manipulates the people who use it at no cost, and one that exclusively benefits the few who can afford to use it.

Opinion | I Left My Job at OpenAI. Putting Ads on ChatGPT Was the Last Straw. - The New York TimesMany people frame the problem of funding A.I. as choosing the lesser of two evils: restrict access to transformative technology to a select group of people wealthy enough to pay for it, or accept advertisements even if it means exploiting users’ deepest fears and desires to sell them a product.
