Twenty years of building, selling and occasionally resurrecting social products led me to one rather simple conclusion.

I helped build one of the first social networks, sold it, built another, sold that, bought it back, sold it again, and recently tried once more. After all that, I think I may finally understand what social networking is for. I have a slightly complicated relationship with social networks.
