Salt air and rust on your door, I never needed anything more. This letter was meant to be sent in July, two weeks or so ago, but I couldn’t finish it. It’s August now, one more month of hellish summer that, just as the song quotes, slips away like a moment in time, a blink of an eye, half of a second. Ever since I was 11, I’ve spent my summers mostly alone.
