At the beginning of 2024, I made the choice to consciously choose adventure in some way every single day. Six months removed from graduating from college, I was deathly afraid that my life would stagnate — that life would become too serious and I’d have to face everything that the little kid version of me was scared of growing up. More terrifying still, life was becoming mundane, with my new big boy job, the days began to blend together. I had started work in September of 2023 and by the beginning of 2024, three months had dissolved into an indistinguishable blur. I’m someone who loves a good bit of routine, but in comparison to the spontaneity of college, my routine started to feel more like a chore than a support system. So I gave myself the simple goal, to choose adventure every single day of the year.
