It’s been long enough now that I’ve almost forgotten how it feels to wake up every day with overwhelming anxiety and dread. I imagine myself to be a safe distance from the person I was a few years ago: someone who had no curiosity or excitement about life, no hope for the future, no desire to get out of bed in the mornings.
