Around close to 150 million Americans have a variant of Methylene-Tetra-Hydrofolate Reductase function. It is an enzyme controlled by the C677T (the more dominant gene) and the A1298C gene. It is most commonly found in Caucasians and Hispanics. Because it is so common and God does not make any mistakes, I have been trying to research if there is an advantage in this single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) condition.
