basically, the idea that because gender roles are sexist and artificial constructs, there are no character traits that are inherently "masculine" or "feminine", and because of this attempting to define "positive masculinity" is a nonsensical endeavor. or in other words, the notions of "masculinity" and "femininity" are sexist and should eventually be removed. i think there are positive traits that are generally considered more masculine. and i can see the utility of wanting to create an ideal of positive masculinity. however, in my opinion, we’re indeed better off doing away with the whole concept, and i think portraying any positive trait as related to men or related to women is harmful. being brave, strong, protective is good, as well as being empathetic, caring, and loving, however, these should be considered good human traits, not good ‘feminine’ or ‘masculine’ traits. like i said, however, i know many men still strive to be considered masculine. i do understand where people are co
