Now that you know a bit more about UX design in practice, let’s talk about what UX designers… well… design! In this lesson, we’re going to break down the three primary things that UX designers create in their jobs: products, services, and experiences. What we’re covering here is critical for your vocabulary as a new designer, and it will come in handy both as part of how you tackle design projects and how you assess job opportunities at companies. In professional practice as a UX designer, products are things manufactured for use that people must have access to for a period of time. We live in a world populated by people and products—so much so that they have become almost invisible to us. In the morning, we wake up to the alarm on our smartphones in a warm, comfortable bed.
