Richard Sorkin, CEO Before joining Zip2, Richard was a key member of the executive team at Creative Labs, the leading supplier of multimedia products for IBM-compatible PCs, during the company's huge growth from under $200 million to over $1 billion. As Vice President/Audio, Richard managed Creative Labs' flagship product, Sound Blaster. Under Richard's leadership, Sound Blaster became a highly successful hardware product, shipping over 40 millions units. Richard also managed Creative's multi-hundred million dollar OEM business, worldwide product planning, business development, strategic relationships and acquisitions. Richard has held management positions at Phoenix Technologies, Poqet Computer, Ashton-Tate, Goldman Sachs Equity Research, and Bain & Company. He received his Masters Degree in Business Administration from Stanford and graduated with honors from Yale College.
