The independent agency’s leadership team sat with Campaign to revisit its first 100 days post-public launch. by Emma Thumann July 30 2025 In 2024, a new independent agency quietly launched: Cape, founded by CEO Casey Ritts and chief creative officer Pete Gosselin. Soon after, Mimi Powell joined the fray as managing director. The three executives had previously worked together during their time at Havas; with Gosselin as ECD, Ritts as managing director and Powell as group account director. During his time at Havas — along with his prior experiences in creative at Droga5 and Grey Group — Gosselin told Campaign that everyone was left to do their work. There wasn’t a feeling of community that the employees felt with each other. However, it’s a completely different story with Ritts and Powell. “When we met as a group, we became a team where everybody plays their role,” he explained. “By playing your role and being able to count and trust the people around you, we learned to trust each other
