I used to think Christians were stupid. I grew up in Colorado Springs, a deeply conservative area in Colorado home to Pikes Peak, the Air Force Academy, and megachurches. My classmates would come in on Mondays talking about their experiences at church while I’d spent the weekends studying for the Spelling Bee and Geography Bee.
