My first morning after moving to the bay, I woke up before my alarm. There’s something about waking up in a new place, the soft hum of a fridge that isn’t mine, the geometry of unfamiliar shadows against the wall, that makes everything feel a little on-edge, a little charged. I remember opening my window to find fog lingering over the city, the tip of the Salesforce Tower cutting clean through the clouds, and feeling that renowned sense of possibility settle quietly in the room with me. This past month has been a series of friction points and small awakenings. In between streaks of dense work - coding 14 hours a day, six days a week, with the most brilliant people I know, letting my mind tangle with questions that outlast my stamina - I also found myself at peace hiking within the painted scenes of nature.
