I ran the Brooklyn Half Marathon this year and it taught me more about love than running. I did a condensed training block because I’ve never planned ahead in my life. But I put everything I had into it. I ran farther than I’d ever run before, learned how to fuel for 10 miles and made time for training when I had a million other things going on. It wasn’t easy and I was pretty proud of myself for doing it. I designed an (expensive) New York weekend with my ex-boyfriend around it.
