A confounding truth about the politics of AI is that almost nobody can touch the thing they are most concerned about. So until now, the politics has mostly lived in theory, white papers, LessWrong posts, tortured metaphors, and long X threads by people with anime avatars and unusually strong opinions about Newcomb's problem.
