My husband and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary this past weekend. We took a short 1 hour drive to Napa, and had 30 hours to ourselves with the intention of reflecting on our last decade together, what we’ve built, what are hopes and dreams are for the future, and who we are today, vs when we first exchanged vows. I won’t bore you with the details, but the theme of our reflections was this idea of: Being (not Becoming). So much emphasis is put on what’s next, future goals, more things to add to the plate. I found myself craving a celebration of what just IS. Today, the life we have, is a dream I couldn’t have even fathomed 10 years ago. We aren’t wired to acknowledge wins though, it’s more often about what’s ahead. At 45, I’m ready to be done with that. I’m ready to revel in the fruits of my labor. I am ready to welcome serendipity. I’m ready to enjoy who I am without needing to become something else. I’m happy to just be. I came up with this new catchy phrase: exhaustive excellenc
