Every single day, I bike. Whether the analog bike (pictured above), My Radrunner (My Daily Commuter), Peloton (great for cold or wet days), or taking one of my kids out for a ride, teaching them mastery over their bikes. In our house, we have 10 different types of bikes. I counted. I love biking. One of my life mantras is, “When your bike is broken, you fix it because when you are broken, your bike fixes you.” Yet, I have no interest in working at a bike shop, selling bikes, building bikes, repairing bikes or renting out bikes to people. In fact, the thought of doing that makes my skin crawl a bit. Why? Because being passionate about something doesn't mean you should make it your job. I know, not something we hear everyday. As I coach people in their careers, I often say: You could pursue your passion, yet if you can find a job that aligns your passions with your vocation perfectly, you could be putting yourself in danger.
