Stanford bioengineer Michael Fischbach likes to create problems – but not in the way you may think. Problem is a word that most people dread: a negative hindrance, a roadblock to progress. But in science, and for Fischbach, that’s not the case. In the realm of research – and beyond – Fischbach says selecting a problem is the first step in working toward a solution.
