In defence of gloop

Lately I’ve been feeling warlike. My blood’s running hot. Maybe it’s because the longest, greyest, most miserable winter I can remember is finally over and the world is returning to life. All the trees are in bloom, the birds are cooing in their soft pink branches; it’s the season to conquer and destroy. I need an enemy. Someone big, someone people take seriously, someone who’s just slightly overrated, someone who might be able to hurt me. I need to rip them apart in four to five thousand words of frantic talons. I need to wet my feathers in their blood. Maybe you don’t understand this…
