A side interest I’ve taken up this past month, while at home, has been collecting various ~chinese~ objects! First, here are some paper notes from the third series of the renminbi, in circulation starting 1962: I quite enjoy this sort of old socialist aesthetic - the pastoral labor scenes + figures looking into the distance feel quite earnest and romantic. The top left ten-yuan note is called “Great Unity” (大团结) and picture's the National People’s Congress. I found it at a hole-in-the-wall in Shanghai during WAIC.
