The project is starting to find a cadence, and patterns are emerging. One is the phrase “land management” — I’ve written it a couple dozen times. Clearly it's useful to me, though I can’t say that there’s a sharp definition in my mind. It seems like I’ve been using it as a stand-in for a slough of ideas; land use policy (things like zoning), and the ongoing practice of engaging with natural systems, as well as the overarching system of property right
