My fascination, in recent years, is an area I call “the peak experience.” It goes by other names as well, such as a transcendent feeling or oceanic feeling or cosmic feeling. Below is an essay I wrote about it, including examples of peak experiences and references to the leading texts about it. The problem is that most of my examples, while valid, are dated- some over a hundred years old. Therefore, my hope in starting this blog is that you,the reader, will contribute your peak experiences.
