The Cambodian-French filmmaker talks Return to Seoul, the joys and dangers of world travel, and his own experiences as a transnational. Behind Davy Chou are three long rows of movie posters. The titles are mostly in Cambodian, each a film that the filmmaker produced as part of his Anti-Archive production house. Among them is Onada – 10,000 Nights in the Jungle, which opened Cannes Un Certain Regard last year, and Diamond Island, Chou’s first feature, set in Phnom Penh’s satellite city.
