This weekend I was at a cute little event where Animal Wonders showed off various animals to a bunch of kids. At one point, the presenter, Jesse, showed off a snake, and one of the kids asked if it was poisonous. “No…but poisonous usually means it’s dangerous to eat, while there’s another word for what snakes are.” At this point, my son’s hand shot up, and he began waggling his fingers desperately. He was called on, and he told the other kids that the word was “venomous.” My son…he likes to know things. At the end of the presentation, Jesse asked if there were any questions, and a kid raised their hand and asked: “How does it poop?” This is a good question.
