The government’s Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) wants a wireless airborne relay system to “deliver energy into contested environments.” And DARPA is moving toward that goal by awarding a $10 million contract to Virginia-based company Raytheon. DARPA also wouldn’t mind if that system could harvest energy.
