Welcome to the 200+ people who joined this mailing list since my last post nearly 10 months ago! I’m Caitlyn – the author of You Are Where You Go – and you may know me from signing up for one of the purpose-driven traveler meetups I hosted earlier this year in LA, SF, and NYC. Happy to have you here in my corner of the internet where the culturally curious explore the intersection of travel and personal development. I recently returned from 14 months of near nonstop traveling. Every day for over a year, I simply followed my intuition around the world while not working any traditional job. From day one of my first post-grad job five years ago, I knew I wanted to take a career break to travel in my late twenties. So, I lived well below my means and strategically saved up for a yearlong sabbatical like the one I just took from April 2024 to June 2025. I had already been to 70 countries and all 7 continents by the time I graduated college, so it’s safe to say the travel bug bit me – hard.
