The Physical Education & Wellness course catalog provides descriptions of courses, prerequisites and any lab fee if applicable. Over 40 courses are offered each quarter. All courses are taught at the beginner level unless noted. Students will learn the practical skills to be a safe open-water SCUBA diver. Class is split into two parts; the why and how of SCUBA diving which involves classroom and pool training, and open water swims. Upon completion of the course, eLearning and open water dives students will receive a SCUBA Diving International (SDI) certification.
