Neurosynth: (-50, -6, 0)
A location is just a particular point in the brain, as indexed in MNI152 space using X/Y/Z coordinates. The locations interface displays information about the relationship between activation at this location and various other data in the Neurosynth database, enabling a user to interpret the cognitive function of specific regions in a somewhat more quantitative manner than qualitative analyses can support. The functional connectivity map that's displayed by default when you first load a new location was not generated using Neurosynth data. It is provided courtesy of Thomas Yeo, Randy Buckner, and the Brain Genomics Superstruct Project. The map represents a resting-state functional connectivity analysis performed on 1,000 human subjects, with the seed placed at the currently selected location.
