AI moves at a crazy pace. To keep up, AI safety needs to move fast, and that means funding has to move with it. Take Timaeus: our regrantors weren’t their biggest funders, but they were first, allowing Timaeus to start months earlier — and in a world of exponential curves, mere months matter. This is why Manifund runs our regranting program: to quickly fund promising projects, by delegating budgets of $50K-$400K to experts. As we’ve just announced our 2025 regrantors, now is a good time to review past regrants -- some we think were great, and others that weren't such good fits.
