I'm a senior web application engineer who works primarily with Python and TypeScript/JavaScript. I co-wrote one of the first books on the Django web framework. I like Go, Rust, Haskell, and Clojure too. I've been a full-time remote worker since 2010. I live in Greenfield, MA with my wife Kathleen and our twin boys. I like mountain biking in the summer and snowboarding in the winter. ©2025 Paul Bissex • Hosting: AWS Amplify • Theme: hugo-creative-portfolio-theme ported from Bootstrapious to Hugo by Kishan B Things that are too old for my resume or portfolio, but still part of my story. I worked as a page designer for local news/entertainment magazines, and then for the national magazine FamilyPC and other Ziff-Davis and Disney projects. I also did some “grunge typography” back when that was a thing: I wrote these in the early-mid '80s and sold them by mail.
