For this unit, we'll be exploring a computer system's most precious cargo: 📦 data. We'll talk about exfiltration, data loss prevention, and the ways data is bundled: First with metadata, then with steganography - the art of hiding data inside images! 🙊 In this lab, we will learn how data can be extracted from images both at the metadata level and also from within an image directly. Using Cyberchef (remember Unit 1?), we'll take a look at some different image files and try to determine information about those pictures: when/where they were taken and who took them.
