when we still have that mindset, the first person who suffers is ourselves. When they have the judgment, as I’m the one who’s suffering from that kind of narrow way of thinking.

The Education I Want
If we learn at school so that one day we can better adapt to the society, why don't we directly learn in the real world?
The Education I Want
"Children are born into a conspiracy between the state, educational institutions, and parents." -- Yefu Zhao
The Education I Want
This book is not a plea to change the system from top-down. Rather, it's a call for the courage and power of "I"s -- to reclaim the education they want, and deserve.
The Education I Want
Finally, the emphasis on "I". There are more than enough voices arguing for the education we should have and what's good for us. The underlying assumption is that there is an optimal collective solution. However, there is no such thing, nor should there be. It's countless "I"s that form a we.

Allow me to emphasize the importance of keeping your hips up. Your instinct will probably want to keep your head and chest high, but this will lower your hips, making you unstable, and so you will sink. Then you'll try to fight off that sinking by bringing your head and chest higher, making you sink further. Don't let that happen. Instead, just let your head and chest fall, so that your hips can be on the surface.
I am a 26 year old male that can't swim, how fast can I expect to learn? : r/Swimming
Floating is almost like an act of trust with the water. the water does most of the work, but you have to let it. Stretch out on your back with your chin up and relax a little. Don't think superman, but be more like a bird or a plane with your arms pointed out like the vitruvian man. If your hips fall you fall. Once you get it, you can float comfortably for ever (maybe not that long). If this isn't comfortable, try this: Take a deep breath and hold it, then tuck into a ball, wrapping your arms around your knees. You're going to spin and bob a little bit but keep holding your breath. ONce you've…

If you want to learn on your own, start with getting in the water holding your breath and getting completely submerged for a couple seconds.

It says, essentially, that a writer of colour does not arrive at the literary table, as is often believed, in spite of their geographical and cultural roots but because of them. That those origins, complex and rich with joy and challenges, were foundations within their praxis – not shackles that denied them an imagination.

it is imperative to understand how Blackness is being targeted and utilized to further anti-Black speaking points and agendas. It becomes ever more pressing that one comes to understand the nebulous topic of Blackness as best as they can, or risk falling prey to misleading notions that define Blackness as a threat.

The hostility towards the women directors and writers is best embodied by a post from an X/Twitter user that has since been liked by over 3,000 users: “Three liberal women are working on Assassin’s Creed: Shadows Story…forget Yasuke. This game is the ultimate feminist fantasy [skull emoji].”

As we have demonstrated, in both Anglophone and Japanese media, AC:S is being framed as part of a “woke” or “political correctness” campaign touted by large corporations.

The controversies engulfing AC:S did not arise in a vacuum but are reflections of a global allophobism that imports American discourses of race, diversity, and alterity, adapting it to local concerns and couching it in a language which, despite crossing national boundaries, remains true to its origins.

Contrary to the claim that their main objection to the game is its culturally and historically inaccurate representation of Japan—including errors in its depiction of the shape of tatami, architecture, and sword placement—the focal criticism has been Yasuke, with numerous YouTube and social media posts referring to the controversial depiction of Yasuke in AC:S and Lockley’s work as the “Yasuke problem” (Yasuke mondai)
