Lomo Turquoise hue-shifted 180° has a great Aerochrome-like look :) : r/AnalogCommunityYou just grab the hue slider in your favourite image editor and slide it as far away from its starting colour as you can get.
Lomo Turquoise hue-shifted 180° has a great Aerochrome-like look :) : r/AnalogCommunityThe way to use minimal agitation is simple. Instead of doing inversions every minute, reduce the inversion frequency to once every 3 minutes, and increase the development time by 50%
15 Photoshop-Free Methods for Creating Sharper Images on FilmIndeed, where the product, as the object of labor, pays for labor itself, there the wage is but a necessary consequence of labor’s estrangement.
Estranged Labour, Marx, 1844Private property is thus the product, the result, the necessary consequence, of alienated labor, of the external relation of the worker to nature and to himself.
Estranged Labour, Marx, 1844In the real practical world self-estrangement can only become manifest through the real practical relationship to other men
Estranged Labour, Marx, 1844If the worker’s activity is a torment to him, to another it must give satisfaction and pleasure
Estranged Labour, Marx, 1844If the product of labor does not belong to the worker, if it confronts him as an alien power, then this can only be because it belongs to some other man than the worker
Estranged Labour, Marx, 1844The alien being, to whom labor and the product of labor belongs, in whose service labor is done and for whose benefit the product of labor is provided, can only be man himself.
Estranged Labour, Marx, 1844An immediate consequence of the fact that man is estranged from the product of his labor, from his life activity, from his species-being, is the estrangement of man from man.
Estranged Labour, Marx, 1844It estranges from man his own body, as well as external nature and his spiritual aspect, his human aspect.
Estranged Labour, Marx, 1844It produces one-sidedly, whilst man produces universally
Estranged Labour, Marx, 1844But an animal only produces what it immediately needs for itself or its young
Estranged Labour, Marx, 1844Man lives on nature – means that nature is his body, with which he must remain in continuous interchange if he is not to die. That man’s physical and spiritual life is linked to nature means simply that nature is linked to itself, for man is a part of nature.
Estranged Labour, Marx, 1844The relation of labor to the act of production within the labor process
Estranged Labour, Marx, 1844His labor is therefore not voluntary, but coerced; it is forced labor
Estranged Labour, Marx, 1844The worker therefore only feels himself outside his work, and in his work feels outside himself
Estranged Labour, Marx, 1844First, the fact that labor is external to the worker
Estranged Labour, Marx, 1844Till now we have been considering the estrangement, the alienation of the worker only in one of its aspects , i.e., the worker’s relationship to the products of his labor
Estranged Labour, Marx, 1844It produces beauty – but for the worker, deformity
Estranged Labour, Marx, 1844The worker puts his life into the object; but now his life no longer belongs to him but to the object
Estranged Labour, Marx, 1844The more man puts into God, the less he retains in himself
Estranged Labour, Marx, 1844the more the worker spends himself, the more powerful becomes the alien world of objects which he creates over and against himself, the poorer he himself – his inner world – becomes, the less belongs to him as his own
Estranged Labour, Marx, 1844The devaluation of the world of men is in direct proportion to the increasing value of the world of things
Estranged Labour, Marx, 1844The worker becomes an ever cheaper commodity the more commodities he creates
Estranged Labour, Marx, 1844The worker becomes all the poorer the more wealth he produces, the more his production increases in power and size
Estranged Labour, Marx, 1844property owners and propertyless workers
Estranged Labour, Marx, 1844the necessary result of competition is the accumulation of capital in a few hands, and thus the restoration of monopoly in a more terrible form
Estranged Labour, Marx, 1844produce plutonium for the United States’ nuclear weapons program

The Hanford cleanup: What’s taking so long? - Ken Niles, 2014The Pioneer anomaly, or Pioneer effect, was the observed deviation from predicted accelerations of the Pioneer 10 and Pioneer 11 spacecraft after they passed about 20 astronomical units (3×109 km; 2×109 mi) on their trajectories out of the Solar System. The apparent anomaly was a matter of much interest for many years but has been subsequently explained by anisotropic radiation pressure caused by the spacecraft's heat loss.
Pioneer anomaly - WikipediaIf what you believe doesn’t depend on what you see, you’ve been blinded as effectively as by poking out your eyeballs.
What is Evidence? — LessWronga belief is only really worthwhile if you could, in principle, be persuaded to believe otherwise.
What is Evidence? — LessWrongI should have paid more attention to that sensation of still feels a little forced. It’s one of the most important feelings a truthseeker can have, a part of your strength as a rationalist.
Your Strength as a Rationalist — LessWrongThere are some mental searches that we secretly wish would fail; and when the prospect of success is uncomfortable, people take the earliest possible excuse to give up.
The Third Alternative — LessWrongIf I saw that there was a superior alternative to my current policy, would I be glad in the depths of my heart, or would I feel a tiny flash of reluctance before I let go?
The Third Alternative — LessWrongLying, for example, is often much more convenient than telling the truth; and believing whatever you started out with is more convenient than updating.
The Third Alternative — LessWrongBeware when you find yourself arguing that a policy is defensible rather than optimal; or that it has some benefit compared to the null action, rather than the best benefit of any action.
The Third Alternative — LessWrongBut if the goal is to justify a particular strategy by claiming that it helps people, a Third Alternative is an enemy argument, a competitor.
The Third Alternative — LessWrongwhile praise without bribes leads to unconditional good behavior.
The Third Alternative — LessWrongIf you don't stop at the first answer, and cast out replies that seem vaguely unsatisfactory, in time your thoughts will form a coherent whole, flowing from the single source of yourself, rather than being fragmentary repetitions of other people's conclusions.
How to Seem (and Be) Deep - LessWrongTo seem deep, study nonstandard philosophies. Seek out discussions on topics that will give you a chance to appear deep. Do your philosophical thinking in advance, so you can concentrate on explaining well. Above all, practice staying within the one-inferential-step bound.
How to Seem (and Be) Deep - LessWrongIf you want to sound deep, you can never say anything that is more than a single step of inferential distance away from your listener's current mental state.
How to Seem (and Be) Deep - LessWrongAlso crucial was that my listeners could see immediately that my reply made sense. They might or might not have agreed with the thought, but it was not a complete non-sequitur unto them.
How to Seem (and Be) Deep - LessWrongIf I recall correctly an economist once remarked that popular audiences are so unfamiliar with standard economics that, when he was called upon to make a television appearance, he just needed to repeat back Econ 101 in order to sound like a brilliantly original thinker.
How to Seem (and Be) Deep - LessWrongI suspect this is one reason Eastern philosophy seems deep to Westerners—it has nonstandard but coherent cache for Deep Wisdom.
How to Seem (and Be) Deep - LessWrongBut my suspicion is that I came across as "deep" because I coherently violated the cached pattern for "deep wisdom" in a way that made immediate sense.
How to Seem (and Be) Deep - LessWrongBut the flip side of this is that I continually see people who aspire to critical thinking, repeating back cached thoughts which were not invented by critical thinkers.
Cached Thoughts — LessWrongNo one can think fast enough to recapitulate the wisdom of a hunter-gatherer tribe in one lifetime, starting from scratch
