The currently pre-sale SKY-100 is the first portable weather station released by SkyX, which is of revolutionary significance to the weather station market.

The “Jiangyin 6” ship of Zhoushan Jiangyin Shipping Co., Ltd. in China sank at 30°36′.25N/121°55′.36E due to receiving wrong weather forecasts

The Price of Modularity - by Cody Poh - Mobius Researcha 8.9mn required to reward validators in the Celestia network
The Price of Modularity - by Cody Poh - Mobius Researcht for every 1 dollar users are paying for execution on rollups in the Ethereum ecosystem; 3.6 USD dollar is paid for data availability and consensus in the base layer.
The Price of Modularity - by Cody Poh - Mobius ResearchFrom the above calculation; we would find out that users are paying rollups more than 50mn for execution of transactions; while rollups pay the base layer 65mn for data availability and the base layer pay validators 120mn for consensus and security.
The Price of Modularity - by Cody Poh - Mobius Researchonly native ETH issuance is considered since it is a better reflection of how much the network is willing to pay for consensus itself;
The Price of Modularity - by Cody Poh - Mobius ResearchEthereum rollups are currently collectively paying an annualized fee of 65mn to the base layer for data availability;
The Price of Modularity - by Cody Poh - Mobius Researchusers are paying for execution on rollups; rollups are paying for data availability to the base layer; and the network is paying validators for consensus
The Price of Modularity - by Cody Poh - Mobius Researchtransactions are settled on the base layer whereas for rollups on Celestia transactions are settled on the sovereign rollups themselves
The Price of Modularity - by Cody Poh - Mobius Researchwithin the ecosystem rollups take care of the execution of transactions and the base layer handles the consensus and data availability of the said transactions.
The Price of Modularity - by Cody Poh - Mobius Researchd why I thought it could be delusional to value Celestia from a standalone fee perspectiv
The Price of Modularity - by Cody Poh - Mobius ResearchGoogle, Apple, Facebook and Amazon. Like Microsoft and IBM before them, these companies are leveraging their proprietary user networks and massive data sets to expand both vertically and horizontally at an unprecedented pace.
Information Technology Market Cycles (A Brief History) — MonēgroDigital advertising, take-rate marketplaces, SaaS, et al. brought more and more revenue as users continued to switch to online services
Information Technology Market Cycles (A Brief History) — MonēgroCompanies and investors overestimated how quickly web businesses would capture market share, raised too much money too early, and spent it all without ever building revenues to make up the difference.
Information Technology Market Cycles (A Brief History) — MonēgroLinux was more important than it seemed. We cannot understate its role the success of the web. As an open source alternative to Windows,
Information Technology Market Cycles (A Brief History) — MonēgroTim Berners-Lee first proposed a series of application-layer protocols (including HTTP) which led to the creation of the World Wide Web.
Information Technology Market Cycles (A Brief History) — Monēgro“Hardware” was no longer an edge, and new value creation moved “up the stack,” to the software layer.
Information Technology Market Cycles (A Brief History) — Monēgrobasically by separating application logic (the program) from processing logic (the computer), as opposed to custom-building both.

Possible futures of the Ethereum protocol, part 2: The SurgeBringing more users onto L1 implies improving not just scale, but also other aspects of L1.
Possible futures of the Ethereum protocol, part 2: The Surgewhere we increase the gas limit 10x, heavily damage the Ethereum L1's decentralization
Possible futures of the Ethereum protocol, part 2: The Surgeyou cannot send a single transaction that synchronously performs operations across many of them
Possible futures of the Ethereum protocol, part 2: The SurgeClearly, it's absurd for everything to go on L1: the potential use cases go into the hundreds of thousands of transactions per second,
Possible futures of the Ethereum protocol, part 2: The Surgenative rollups (or "enshrined rollups"):
Possible futures of the Ethereum protocol, part 2: The SurgeSIMD ("single instruction multiple data") is a proposal to allow efficiently executing the same instruction on an array of values
Possible futures of the Ethereum protocol, part 2: The Surgeseveral rounds of increasing gas costs for certain operations that were underpriced in order to avoid denial of service attacks
Possible futures of the Ethereum protocol, part 2: The SurgeAnother scaling strategy involves identifying specific features and types of computation that can be made cheaper without harming the decentralization of the network or its security propertie
Possible futures of the Ethereum protocol, part 2: The SurgeThe easiest way to scale is to simply increase the gas limit.
Possible futures of the Ethereum protocol, part 2: The SurgeThe economic situation of ETH the asset becomes more risky, which in turn affects long-run security of the network.
Possible futures of the Ethereum protocol, part 2: The SurgeThey require L2s and wallets and L1 to cooperate.
Possible futures of the Ethereum protocol, part 2: The SurgeOne way to solve this is to create a shared minimal rollup, whose only function would be to maintain the balances of how many tokens of which type are owned by which L2,
Possible futures of the Ethereum protocol, part 2: The SurgeKeystore wallets are a technique that allow the keys to exist in one place
Possible futures of the Ethereum protocol, part 2: The Surge"I am sending 1 ETH on Optimism to whoever sends me 0.9999 ETH on Arbitrum", and "I am sending 0.0001 ETH on Optimism to whoever includes this transaction on Arbitrum"

Possible futures of the Ethereum protocol, part 2: The Surgethe chain (L1, Optimism, Arbitrum...) should be part of the address
Possible futures of the Ethereum protocol, part 2: The Surge, a rollup-centric Ethereum is the same thing as L1 execution sharding
Possible futures of the Ethereum protocol, part 2: The SurgeEthereum, we need to make using the L2 ecosystem feel like using a unified Ethereum ecosystem.
