Internalization is the practice of brokers matching orders internally on their own trading desks – before orders are either sent to dark pools or exchanges.
Internalization of Order Flow on the Rise
Binance are starting to internalize execution algorithms that were typically done by separate trading firms

whatever improvements that could be made to a particular market type, if it’s made through a third party tool or a service (eg. execution algorithms and brokerage services), it really should be considered a temporary solution

Semantics of Staking 2: Re-staking — The price of agency
A validator slashed by EigenLayer still has a full staking balance on the Ethereum protocol’s balance sheet, which may induce moral hazard and reward imbalances
Semantics of Staking 2: Re-staking — The price of agency
the Ethereum protocol has no conception whatsoever of [soETH], since this is not appearing on its own balance sheet

Semantics of Staking 1: Liquefaction — The price of agency
credibly commit the node operators to specific actions, e.g., commit them to never produce any slashable messages
Semantics of Staking 1: Liquefaction — The price of agency
leveraged attack risk is infinite considering purely on-chain assets put at stake by the operators, but obviously less than infinite considering their reputation, contracts, and expected future cash flows from honest validation
Semantics of Staking 1: Liquefaction — The price of agency
The lower the collateral posted by the operator, the greater the leveraged attack risk becomes, where the operator requires a small amount of funds to control a much larger amount of stake on the Ethereum Proof-of-Stake (PoS) network.

How The Blob Saves Ethereum — EIP-4844’s Rollup Rodeo | by Ray Buckton | Sep, 2023 | Medium
rollups call data from Ethereum to determine the canonical state of other rollups. It’s simply the safest way to minimize attack vectors while ensuring that Ethereum serves as the single source of truth between network participants.

Three Things #20: June 5, 2022 - by Lane Rettig
I simply disagreed with certain social norms. Rather than trying to change society, which feels impossible, and rather than conforming, which I had no interest in doing, I figured the path of least resistance was to pretend to conform on the surface while actually rebelling against the system in secret. I felt that such rebellious behavior was justified if it was directed against stupid, senseless rules that I understood but disagreed with and that therefore shouldn’t apply to me.

a few weeks ago i had a job interview. we had some extra time at the end so i took the chance to ask my interviewer (let’s call them p) a few questions me: what would you say is the primary source of joy in your life? is it your work or personal relationships or something else?

It’s often easier to take risks early in your career; you don’t have much to lose, and you potentially have a lot to gain. Once you’ve gotten yourself to a point where you have your basic obligations covered you should try to make it easy to take risks. Look for small bets you can make where you lose 1x if you’re wrong but make 100x if it works.
