Logica is more concise and supports reusable abstraction mechanisms that SQL lacks.
Google is pushing the new language Logica to solve the major flaws in SQL! | by Shingai Zivuku | Nerd For Tech | MediumThe main drawback of SQL is that it has very limited support for abstraction.
Google is pushing the new language Logica to solve the major flaws in SQL! | by Shingai Zivuku | Nerd For Tech | MediumSQL is developed based on natural language, which allows countless people without formal computer programming and mathematics training to access the database smoothly, and this is also a defect that SQL cannot make up for.
Google is pushing the new language Logica to solve the major flaws in SQL! | by Shingai Zivuku | Nerd For Tech | MediumDatalog is used to design interactions with large-scale relational databases. But in the way of data processing, Datalog is different from the general language SQL for processing data: Datalog is inspired by the mathematical grammar of first-order logic, while SQL follows the grammar of the natural language.
Google is pushing the new language Logica to solve the major flaws in SQL! | by Shingai Zivuku | Nerd For Tech | MediumThe degree distribution of the World Wide Web. Figure from Newman (2018), “Networks”, using data from Broder et al (2000), “Graph structure in the web” This power law distribution grants the biggest hubs a lot of power over the network. It also makes hubs important to the functioning of the network in ways that are not
Centralization is inevitable - by Gordon BranderThe defining characteristic of scale-free networks is a power law distribution with a long tail. A small number of nodes with an extremely large number of links, and an extremely large number of nodes with a small number of links.
Centralization is inevitable - by Gordon BranderWhat he’s really done is he’s created this immense vertical filing cabinet in his brain of layers and layers and layers of files of information that he can draw back on now for more than 70 years worth of data.
