It struck me recently how few of the most successful people I know are mean. There are exceptions, but remarkably few.
Mean People FailI notice that I have a cycle of thinking everything's clicked and knowing everything to then feeling like I know nothing and experiencing lots of uncertainty (and undervaluing the learnings / working things I'd previously accomplished). I think this is simply the nature of doing new things. You discover new problems and uncover unanswered questions. The most dangerous place to be is on the cusp of discovering new problems, but not doing so because you already think you know everything.
