How To Take Smart Notes: 10 Principles to Revolutionize Your Note-Taking and Writing - Forte LabsThere is no hierarchy in the zettelkasten, which means it can grow internally without any preconceived scheme. By creating notes as a decentralized network instead of a hierarchical tree, Luhmann anticipated hypertext and URLs.
How To Take Smart Notes: 10 Principles to Revolutionize Your Note-Taking and Writing - Forte LabsLuhmann’s slip-box contained 90,000 notes. This may seem like a staggering number until you realize that it amounts to only six notes per day.
How To Take Smart Notes: 10 Principles to Revolutionize Your Note-Taking and Writing - Forte LabsI only do what is easy. I only write when I immediately know how to do it. If I falter for a moment, I put the matter aside and do something else”
How To Take Smart Notes: 10 Principles to Revolutionize Your Note-Taking and Writing - Forte LabsAs notas de literatura devem conter a mensagem essencial da fonte de informação, essas notas deve ficar junto com os dados bibliográficos da fonte
Zettelkasten – vida organizadaprioritize admin-light implementation. No elaborate, prebuilt tag system. No naming conventions to memorize. No crazy jungle of plugins to automate stuff.
The dirty lil secret about my note-taking system...a notes system where I’m regularly making new entries, digesting thoughts, and I’m “doing the work” of thinking and turning over ideas within my Index file - basically the Universe of my Collected Knowledge
The dirty lil secret about my note-taking system...the purpose is to use the compass directions and the questions to guide a conversation with yourself about what you know and don’t know. They are prompts to help our brains find where an idea belongs among other ideas, and related questions
The essence of the Zettelkasten method, demystified.if I hear something that resonates with me while listening to a podcast, I pause it, screenshot the timestamp, share it into Notion and write a few thoughts fleshing out the idea. These then become fodder for future videos and blog posts, but more importantly, they sit in my Second Brain where they can be linked with existing ideas in the present, and with new ideas in the future.
Building a Second Brainas a grocer and he read the progressive grocer magazine, and he read articles on how to stock a meat department... What he’s really done is he’s created this immense vertical filing cabinet in his brain of layers and layers and layers of files of information that he can draw back on
