During my internship days at cal.com, I discovered a real passion for distributed systems, databases, and learning Golang. The last four months have been a whirlwind of reading system design blogs, diving into O’Reilly’s massive archives, and experimenting with Golang. It’s been a crazy ride of nights filled with research, coding, and deep dives into system design papers and blogs. One day, on December 27th 2025 I was just casually talking to my sister who, by the way, isn’t from a tech background and she jokingly said, “Why don’t you build Google?” Honestly, I brushed it off at first. But then, it hit me why not try? That little comment sparked a whole new wave of motivation. I started thinking about how I could approach building something similar, even if on a smaller scale.
