I recently shared a controversial technology reading list. I recommended 26 books, but there was a catch. All the books on the list were written by outsiders. Instead of consulting technocrats or coders or venture capitalists, I turned to the best philosophers, humanists, novelists, social thinkers, and other non-STEM visionaries.
