You Need To Read The Output - Seconds
I encounter experienced devs pretty frequently who tell me that AI coding sucks and will never be good because they have a bunch of juniors in their office who downloaded Cursor free version, and all of a sudden are stuck reviewing a mountain of terrible slop PRs. The senior reviewers spend more time reviewing the code than the juniors who submitted it. But this isn’t evidence that AI is bad; its that a new paradigm has arrived with new failure modes, and we have to adapt to it. Dr. Dad on Twitter said it beautifully here: The new paradigm is that AI coding produces errors at approximately the same rate as skilled human coding, but 10x faster, which means you have 10x the errors per unit of time. Really think on how dramatic a shift this is. The process of creation is automated now. What remains is the application of taste and rigor. Thanks for reading!
