Amie update #132 September 3, 2026 CPU performance: system audio instead of screenshare we now use the system audio instead of screenshare permission! this reduces CPU usage significantly. it's technically more privacy preserving, but we anyways don't use the screen stream (unless video recording is enabled!) we've also fixed another under-the-hood reason why CPU might have spiked for you. if, after this update, you still see high CPU, please text us to fix it! new recorder pill goodbye floating recorder. we've replaced it with a per-display notch that lives right where you need it.…
