If an introject remains an intaglio even through changes in their source, they may be called sourcebound. Intaglio refers to the process of scratching a positive of the desired images and/or text into a metal plate and applying ink to the plate for use in printing. This allowed for more detailed prints using methods like cross hatching to show texture and shadow. A famous example of an intaglio print is The Temptation of Saint Anthony, by Martin Schongauer, circa 1470-75.
