[2607.03497] Isolated Hypersurface Singularities May Be Stably Degenerate

Abstract:We prove the existence of stably degenerate hypersurface singularities. Ingredients in the proof include the mixed Hodge structure on the contact locus of a singularity and that moduli spaces of polarised abelian varieties of large dimension are of general type.
