We’ve all seen it. That played out trans storyline in so many movies and television shows. A trans woman, in tears, talking about how she tried on her mother’s red high heels as a child and how, in that moment, she knew she was a woman. Sometimes it’s not the high heels. Sometimes it’s a dress. A wig. A blouse. But the sentiment remains the same. There was this one magical moment that made everything clear.
