I've been programming and tinkering with electronics since the age of 14, it's still pretty much what I do all day. I also play a lot of video games. I daily drive NixOS on my ThinkPad and like listening to IDM. I also like reading philosophy and history. I currently head Shunya Research an independent AI research lab based in Bangalore, India. Working on bio-inspired AI and neuromorphic systems. During my tenure as a research intern I implemented a ConvLSTM model from scratch to predict rainrate over Kochi from data gathered during the 2018 Kerala monsoon floods. My model managed to reconstruct rainrate plots with 0.8 SSIM score on average. During my time here I also learnt how government agencies work and why they're so inefficient, this has had a significant impact on my career and approach to work.
