In search of somewhere cool and some water, I had entered the roadside restaurant. The back door was not closed. Through this luminous open frame, half in the shade, I saw the desert stretch out to the horizon. An absolute image. I made my alliance with the Western there, with the infinite desert and its charm. I've always tried to convey this incredible sensation, this lightning bolt, in my comics.
