Is it alright to be alone after ACL reconstruction surgery? And how do I manage stuff on my own post surgery? : r/ACL
So I have ACL reconstruction surgery and meniscus repair in a week. I tore my ACL about 2 months ago. I am 26 years old. I stay alone. My city has a decent Uber network so I suppose traveling should not be a major issue. Is it manageable to work through the recovery and reconstruction on my own? What are the challenges I can face? And how can I prepare myself for it? You’ll want someone there for the first 48 hours post-op or at least available to come get you food and ice. That’s basically the worst time. After that you should be able to manage as long as crutches are ok for you to handle. Def agree. First couple of days was difficult for me. Going to the bathroom, attempting to shower and getting in and out bed. Yes, I agree. However I don't have much options since I am new to the city.
