Update (As of 28th August, 2025) The Reddit team has announced that they’re sunsetting the Avatar project. This stings quite a bit, not because I invested (and I guess subsequently lost) a fair chunk of change on this bet, but rather that I believed that Reddit (out of all companies) had a real shot of actually pulling this off and being a widely accepted way of creating, advertising & selling these Collectable Avatars.
