Mr. Thune (for himself, Ms. Klobuchar, Mr. Wicker, Mr. Hickenlooper, Mr. Luján, and Mrs. Capito) introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation To provide a framework for artificial intelligence innovation and accountability, and for other purposes. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, This Act may be cited as the “Artificial Intelligence Research, Innovation, and Accountability Act of 2023”. The table of contents for this Act is as follows: Section 3502 of title 44, United States Code, is amended— (1) in paragraph (22)— (A) by inserting “or data model” after “a data asset”; and (B) by striking “and” at the end; (2) in paragraph (23), by striking the period at the end and inserting a semicolon; and (3) by adding at the end the follow
